The creative inspiration comes from Oscar Wilde’s fairy tale work, 《The Nightingale and The Rose》.
The blue doll is a symbolic representation of the nightingale, which in the original work represents pure art and idealism, sacrificing life for “love”.
The pink doll is a symbolic representation of the rose, which is a concrete manifestation of sacrifice, but its value is not cherished, implying the fragility of true love in the material society.
But after the adaptation, they no longer lose their lives to sing praises to others’ love, and long for freedom and not being bound.
The attire of nightingales mainly consists of imperial skirts, often decorated with feathers.
