Magic Mirror Studio has two beautiful new dolls in a new 1/3 size that have just been released. Marta has concentrated on an elegant body line and superior posing for her first large dolls. Branwen and Bronagh are limited in number.
Below is my conversation with Marta as she prepared to open the order period.

Q: Glad to talk with you again! Tell me a little about your new 1/3 doll releases.
A: Hello Mae! Lovely to finally talk with you about my new project! It actually started more than two years ago. After I released my fashion-style MSD dolls, I really liked the pose-ability and the options that these kinds of new joints offered. I thought It could be great to have these features on a bigger doll, since 1/3 scale used to be my favorite, but dolls this big are usually less mobile and harder to pose. So I went for It! And repented several times along the way!
Q: What was the inspiration behind the dolls? How many dolls are being released?
A: So the inspiration behind are my own MSD dolls and the themes for them are my usual references to Irish mythology, fairytales, and folklore!
I am releasing two models, Branwen the White Raven and Bronagh the Black Goat. The actual reason for me to show promotional pictures of Branwen in White Skin is the meaning of the name; literally ‘White Raven’ in Irish. Bronagh is a very beautiful irish name, it means ‘Sorrow’. I thought It fitted the dark Fae theme on her.
Q: How tall are the dolls? Will they fit into any standard sizes of clothing? What wigs and eyes will they take? Are there any extra parts?
A: They are 63 cm tall. Weight is about 1.2kg and they wear 7-8 wig and 8-10mm eyes. They are quite slim, so the clothes might be a bit tricky, but I guess they can fit in most clothes. The preorder offers high-heeled feet and a sleeping face as extra parts, and the Branwen Fairy faceplate as a gift
Q: Will they be sold blank or painted?
A: Both options are available. Faceup is offered for an extra.
Q: How many dolls are available?
A: 30 dolls in total! So anyone interested please make haste! Haha. Each doll comes only with one head, and the possibility of an extra faceplate.
Q: They look like champion posers! I love their style!
A: Thank you! Took me years to manage to get the flowing lines and nice pose-ability. Seems sometimes you have to choose one or the other.
