The lovely and talented French artist Sophie Louis of Nympheas Dolls has just introduced a new 1/6 size girl with a choice of heads, one with solid eyes to allow the eyes to be painted, and another with open eyes that take inset eyes. Poteline comes in fair skin resin for her first pre-order.

Q: Poteline is the first doll you have made with the option of solid eyes instead of eye holes. Why did you introduce the option?
A: I love trying new things and at first I wanted to make Poteline in vinyl, unfortunately, it couldn’t be done,
the conditions for making this type of dolls were not suited to my means. So I made it out of resin. These kinds of eyes are really fun to paint and allow a wide range of possibilities, it’s a great creative exercise
to paint the eyes yourself. The one I am offering was painted by Le mouton en sucre and she has such an adorable dreamy expression!
Q: Does she have a new body?
A: Poteline has a completely new body, already she is 33 cm tall and she is my tallest human girl and secondly I wanted to create a particular body shape for her with nice “rolls of flesh” and a triangle-shaped body, small bust and shoulders, and wider hips and thighs. I love the character of Tinkerbell by artist Loisel and it is one of my inspirations.
Q: Could you tell me about the artist LMS who is painting face-ups for Poteline?
A: I have worked with LMS for a few years and she has already made a lot of wonderful designs on my dolls. The best thing about her is that she offers completely unique makeup, the customer can ask for whatever they want! She’s a great artist and does the finest and most beautiful painting work.
Q: What size wig does the doll take? Will any standard-size doll clothing fit her?
A: She wears 6/7 wigs and Yo-SD outfits may be suitable. I can make her ‘socks’ style outfits, it’s super easy to do and ‘cheap’ but I love that look on her.
Q: One last question: Do you have plans to release new dolls with the new Poteline body?
A: For now I must slow down my doll activity because I have a lot of illustration work so it’s hard to plan anything. The projects planned next for Nympheas are: Finish my baby dragon and make a pre-order for Mialypso.
