According to retailer BJDivas, as of February 28th, DollShe Craft will no longer sell the dolls through authorized dealers. The company will stop holding discount events. Due to casting issues, they will also no longer offer honey skin resin. In addition, resin colors elf green and avatar blue are also discontinued at this time and may not return.
From the company:
We will stop the big discount. Only during the sale period, orders are high, profitability decreases, and backsong delays occur repeatedly.
Currently, the profits are low to operate the studio. If you want to hire as many employees as possible to handle backlogs, you have no choice but to keep the discount sale at a single price.
Since we are writing new works, we expect that orders will work well without discount sales.
You can use the discount coupon within 6 months of issuance. Discounts based on membership levels will be terminated. We will consider other benefits than discounts.
We are trying to increase casting efficiency by discontinuing the honey skin and changing the lineup. We’re also working on new, undisclosed works, and a whole new doll will be released in the coming months, including the new body.
Several decisions have been made on how to resolve the delay in delivery.
I plan to hire a lot of staff. It will take about 3 months to train the staff and increase the efficiency of casting.
After the prototype is completed, the silicone mold is made and then the order is received. Prevents delivery delays due to prototyping delays in nature.
As for the skin color, only pure skins that can be easily casting are mass-produced, and popular doll types are duplicated in advance.
We will stop the big discount promotions and deliver a good quality doll in the shortest time possible. We’ll deliver 50 or less dolls monthly in the max. of three months. Regarding popular dolls, we plan to receive orders only after stock replication. The workshop will be run on a small scale with only less than five employees after we complete shipping all the dolls that have been delayed to be shipped.
We will try to complete all deliveries within 6 to 8 months by hiring part-time contractors for employee recruitment and simple tasks. We are planning to complete more than 70% of the long-overdue deliveries within 6 months.
