Artist Charles Grimberg Stephan of Charles’ Creature Cabinet has opened a Kickstarter campaign for the licensing of a doll based on a character design owned by Imaginism Studios.

[Kickstarter] Tiny pet dragon, anyone? Here’s a little fantasy water creature, grey master/prototype, I’ve been working on. It has become a micro ball-jointed doll. Initially, as a fan-art tribute to the magical illustrative work of Bobby Chiu from Imaginism studios, I simply fell in love with his rendition of the Ugly Duckling. And also just for fun and for my private collection.
However, if there is sufficient interest to do a licensed** preorder release, limited edition 10 pcs min – 30 pcs max, interested parties/collectors can sign up with an advance payment so I will be able to cover the steep license and production costs. **Since I do not own the rights of this @digitalbobert Ugly Duckling design.
