Australian BJD artist Liz Frost of Wizworx previously participated in an eBay auction of dolls and items by several artists. The money supported charities that are helping people and animals affected by the wildfires that have been burning on the continent. Liz is now working on a unique doll that she will soon sell to donate more additional funds to wildlife causes.

Q: What is the theme for the charity doll?
A: The name of the doll will be “The Forest That Was” signifying the loss of vast amounts of land that was burnt and animals that were lost.
Q: Are there any other artists or craftspeople contributing to this doll’s full-set?
A: No, I am doing this one on my own.
Q: When will the doll be available? Which charity will benefit?
A: I am going to have to say it will be early next week now. Every day I find I am being contacted and subsequently contacting others and sourcing information on things to help the local wildlife. I am more than happy to do this but it has put me behind.
I have also decided the charity the monies will go to the Rescue Collective. I have been supporting them from the outset and will continue to do so.
I have done some wildlife feed transporting for them to rescuers and properties affected by fires. I have met some amazing people doing wonderful things.
I may hold a little back to help pay for materials for the local Men’s Shed to make wildlife nest boxes and water stations, also for wildlife feed. These will be used for my local area that has been burnt in the fires.
Here is their website on FB…..https://www.facebook.com/therescuecollective/

This collective hit the ground running as soon as the fires started and have not let up. They are a completely voluntary organization using voluntary people power to get things done, using social media. It is an unprecedented and extraordinary response to the current disaster. They are supplying medical supplies, food/water for wildlife and stock, crafted items for animal rescuers and helping animal rescuers affected by the fires to be able to continue their work.
The assistance they provide now extends from northern Australia in the state of Queensland right down the east coast to Tasmania and across to the state of South Australia.
Approximately 18 million hectares (44 million acres) were burnt or is burning across all Australian states and territories.
An estimated one billion animals have been lost and some endangered species may be driven to extinction.
Q: Will the doll be auctioned on eBay?
A: I will take offers on my FB page and in my group rather than paying eBay fees. I could have people email me …. wizworx@y7mail.com.
