The Pacific Northwest Ball-Jointed Doll Expo has a fantastic line-up of doll artists and companies participating this year.
The theme for this year’s event is GATSBY:

PNW BJD Expo 2018 Gathers BJD Stars in Seattle
Good weather, new friends and lots to do – getting together with other fans of BJD dolls is exhilarating. A chance to share and learn from other doll’s that people bring, you know – an amazing faceup, new costume, or new hairdo changes everything.
The PNW BJD Expo gets it and is lighting the sky with the BJD stars that are gathering in Seattle at the end of April. Who hasn’t heard of Connie Lowe or Volks or Doll Stories – but this is just the beginning of the list of brilliant artists who are gathering to conduct panels, teach workshops, and show dolls created just for the event. Along with the amazing salesroom and masquerade dinner, 3 events stand out as exclusives of PNW.
It starts with the Show & Tell meal event on Thursday evening. The PNW gal-on-the-street will be talking to people about their dolls in an open and fun forum.
The Friday evening dessert reception will feature a History of BJD’s in America panel. The panel will begin with the story of how Volks brought the art form to the U.S. in their own unique way and continue through artists that have contributed and innovated, skyrocketing the dolls to success in America. The evening will include a display of BJD dolls from little known companies that contributed to the growth of the genre.
The third exclusive event is the Volks Meet & Greet tea on Saturday afternoon. Here is your opportunity to talk to the Volks team about your doll, or the one that you would love to get. You and your doll will have an opportunity to have your picture taken with the Volks USA General Manager.
