In response to a Yahoo group and Facebook page for individuals who seek to have rare dolls re-cast for themselves, Jpop dolls has launched a new community on Facebook, BJD Community and Artists Against Recasts.
From the company:
We have created a new community on the social website Facebook, BJD Community and Artists Against Recasts! Please help spread awareness of recasts and share this link with your friends. Recasting is illegal and it hurts artists and the BJD community. So, we are working together with artists and the BJD community to put an end to it and show our support for BJD artists. We also want to help spread awareness to newcomers to the BJD world and create a community to discuss and inform each other against recasting.
Please show your support against BJD recasting by “liking” our facebook page!!!
You can find the BJD Community & Artists Against Recasts page at this link; BJD Community and Artists Against Recasts
Thank you!

While I have had mixed feelings, I truly believe it is wrong to recast artists dolls, period! I hope that this new group will spread the word using tactfulness, facts and being respectful so as not to alienate future potential members.
